our history

We’re passionate about kids!

The Air Systems Foundation, Inc. passionately supports numerous programs and charities throughout Silicon Valley and Santa Clara County with the ultimate mission of "building our children's future." We consistently honor our fundamental belief that the most positive, powerful and enduring influences in children's lives result from the direct participation of families and the entire community.

Our foundation operates almost entirely on volunteer support and services. Rest assured that 100% of your donation to Air Systems Foundation goes to the KIDS − not salaries, vendors, or overhead.  All foundation operational costs are underwritten by Air Systems an EMCOR Company and the Christine & John Davis Family. Our sincere thanks goes to you ─ for the financial support, and trusting our stewardship of your charitable donations.

Our foundation has awarded over $2.6 million in grants and scholarships. Today, although we still make direct grants to several local organizations, our primary work is done in academic scholarships for higher education to youth in Santa Clara County.

The Air Systems Foundation, Inc. has its roots in Air Systems Inc., a mechanical contractor founded in 1974 by John Davis. Since its inception, Air Systems has been an active member of the community, supporting many diverse non-profit organizations and sponsoring a myriad of fundraising events. In 1984, John Davis took a more proactive approach to giving back to the community by establishing the Air Systems Car Show & FunFest ─ a family fundraising event with an old-fashioned county fair atmosphere featuring his passion for unique cars of all types.

Our mission started in 1984 with The Children’s Discovery Museum of San Jose – and it’s still there today by  recently contributing to “Bill’s Backyard” the latest addition at CDM in 2017. Throughout this 38 year journey we added numerous need-by-need local Santa Clara County children’s programs and projects such as Second Harvest Food Bank, History Park Museum, and Guadalupe River Park Kids Fall Festival – just to name a few. With great pride the Air Systems Foundation continues its core emphasis on educational assistance with our Academic Scholarship programs.

The Air Systems Foundation, Inc. a non-profit 501(C)3 was officially formed in 1997 by John's wife

Christine Davis who is President and heads-up the foundation. Its purpose is to champion the same diversity, charity efforts, and values that the Air Systems company along with its leadership and employees

continues to support.

All at the Air Systems Foundation, Inc. are committed to building a fruitful,

healthy and solid future for our children!
